ADVOCACY

You Have the Right to an Advocate

An advocate is someone who can help a person understand their rights, communicate their wishes or raise concerns.

You may choose to involve an advocate when:

  • Making decisions about services
  • Attending meetings
  • Understanding information
  • Raising concerns
  • Making a complaint
  • Communicating your preferences
  • Seeking information about your rights

An advocate may be an appropriate independent advocacy organisation or another person you choose, depending on your circumstances.

RASAK CARE respects your right to seek independent advocacy.

Where appropriate and with your consent, we will communicate with your nominated advocate.
